iPhone Hack Makes Apple Logo Glow

Published

on

If you want your iPhone to stand out in a crowd, you should check out this glowing Apple logo mod which can be yours, for a price.

iPatch, a British repair shop, has perfected a procedure that illuminates the Apple logo on the back of the iPhone 4.

iPatch tells Wired that the process is, “a complete secret” and not something you can do at home. Thankfully, you can pay iPatch to do the work for you.

The glowing iPhone Apple mod makes use of the original iPhone 4 back, and can be performed on both black and white iPhone models. iPatch lets you pick the color of the glowing iPhone logo for an extra touch of flair.

iPatch will make your iPhone 4 Apple logo glow

Other than the glowing logo, your iPhone will remain the same as when you sent it in. Though you are breaking your Apple warranty by having this work done, but there is a 90 day warranty on the work from iPatch and you can reverse the mod at the same price.

If you live in the U.K. you can have the work done for about $150 USD, starting this month. For those of you stateside, iPatch will offer a mail in service in the near future, but there is no pricing available yet.

While this adds no functionality to your device, I’d love to see this as part of the iPhone 5, just for looks.

You can follow iPatch on Twitter for updates and pricing for the mail in glowing iPhone 4 logo mod.
