Samsung Nexus Prime Finally Appears in Teaser Video

Published

on

Finally. That pretty much sums up my feelings about the Samsung Nexus Prime teaser video that Samsung posted last night, just an hour or so after I got done railroading them and Google for being completely mum about the phone and its upcoming launch on October 11th at CTIA San Diego. Finally, we have something official in regards to one of the most anticipated phones of the year. Finally, there is cause for excitement. Finally, we have a glimpse at what appears to be a gorgeous looking smartphone.

Finally.

The ad couldn’t have come at a better time. Yesterday, Apple launched a new iPhone called the iPhone 4S and it’s a phone that has a lot of things going for it. Great software, fantastic hardware and a killer feature called Siri Assistant which might actually be the best part of package.

And, as I said, the Google, Sammy and the Nexus Prime need a few things to happen in order to make a dent against the iPhone 4S. This teaser video? Well, that’s a piece of one of those things and I couldn’t be more thrilled.

I only wish there was some sort of hint about LTE in the ad, but beggars can’t be choosers.

Samsung is calling this device a perfect combination. It’s calling it something big. And you know what?

I believe it.

And I’m now officially excited.

Who else?

The only thing that can kill this phone is if it’s truly a Verizon exclusive. I can’t believe Google would be that dumb, but you never know. Even a finite period of exclusivity would be idiotic, but if this doesn’t eventually come to ATT or T-Mobile, I will be seriously pissed.
