Verizon iPhone 4S Preorders Start at 3:01 AM October 7th
Verizon has just announced that the iPhone 4S preorder sales will start at 3:01 AM Eastern on Friday October 7th.
The iPhone 4S is the newest iPhone, announced by CEO Tim Cook on Tuesday. The iPhone 4S is available on Verizon, AT&T and Sprint with a full release on October 14th.
The iPhone 4S preorders will be available online for new and existing customers. The off contract price of the iPhone 4S is expected to start at $649, but no word on availability. Here’s how to check your upgrade eligibility.
The iPhone 4S has a collection of new features, but the same outside appearance as the iPhone 4.
iPhone 4S features include,
- Dual Core A5 processor with 2X faster performance and 7X faster graphics
- 8MP camera with 1080P video recording and Video stabilization
- Siri Assistant App (What is Siri?)
- Airplay wireless mirroring
The iPhone 4S is available starting at $199 in the following capacities. Verizon will have the white and black models available to preorder.
- iPhone 4S 16GB – $199
- iPhone 4S 32GB – $299
- iPhone 4S 64GB – $399
Verizon is also selling the iPhone 4 for $99 with 8GB of memory, and has discounted the iPhone 4 16GB model to $149 and the 32GB iPhone 4 to $199. These may sound like a good deal, but if you can swing the extra $100, you’ll have a much more powerful phone.

From what we’ve seen, Siri may be worth the price alone. We’ll be testing out the iPhone 4S as soon as it is released. Until then, check out this iPhone 4S demo from Apple, highlighting the new features.
