Verizon’s Galaxy Nexus Appears on Samsung’s Site

Published

on

We’re just a few short hours away from the Samsung Galaxy Nexus announcement in Hong Kong but it looks like we have a glimpse at the Galaxy Nexus, in official form, early. If you head over to Samsung’s website right this moment and type ‘Galaxy Nexus’ into the search bar, you’ll be taken to what appears to be a semi-live splash page for Verizon’s upcoming smartphone.

It doesn’t lead anywhere but it does gives us a nice photo of a Verizon-branded device that looks to be the next Nexus.

Personally, it’s a little bit of a disappointment. It’s doesn’t have the same curve as we saw in that render or that teaser video, it’s much more flat. But still, I think the software and the specifications which include an HD screen and LTE should help to counter that.

Then again, we haven’t even seen the device in the wild yet so let’s hold off on passing judgement until we get our eyes on it tonight.

What do you guys think? Happy with it?

Or disappointed?

Totally disappointed with the old school PowerVR SGX540 GPU just like with the Droid Razr when the iPhone 4S has the PowerVR SGX543 that kicks ass.  Didn’t really want a curvy phone so that’s fine.  If the camera is anything like the previous ones on the Nexus phones, its gonna really suck especially when compared to the camera on the iPhone 4S.  I hope the announcement will get me jazzed about this phone again because I’m not all that crazy about it now.

I like this much better than the teaser design. Not nearly as curved.
