Yesterday, Sprint rather quietly launched its latest member of the EVO family of devices, the HTC EVO Design 4G. It’s a device with some solid specifications paired with an event better price tag. $100 from Sprint with a new two year contract. Well, not to be outdone, Amazon is currently offering the EVO Design 4G for a mere $30, also on a new contract for new customers.
It appears to be $80 for those trying to upgrade.
Currently, the phone is on backorder – probably because of how good that $30 price tag is, but we have been assured that it will be back in stock in the very near future. In addition, through midnight tonight, Amazon is also offering free activation for qualifying new lines of service through Sprint.
So, if you decide to pull the trigger today and you’re in the mood to sign a new contract, you’ll net yourself a smartphone on the cheap.
And, just in case you’ve forgotten, here are the EVO Design 4G’s specifications:
- Android 2.3, Gingerbread
- HTC Sense – Award-winning user experience taking social networking, navigation and customization to new levels
- Aluminum unibody design
- 1.2GHz processor
- 4-inch qHD capacitive touchscreen display
