Those of you who planned on getting your brand new Kindle Touch on November 21st are in for a bit of a surprise today as Amazon has just announced that it will be shipping orders out a week earlier than expected.

November 15th will be the day that the Kindle Touch will go on sale along with the rest of the new and improved Kindle Family and they will all be available at not only Amazon but at retailers like Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Staples, Sam’s Club, RadioShack, and Office Depot.

The Kindle Touch was originally announced back on September 28th and it’s a $99 e-reader that is set to compliment Amazon’s $199 Kindle Fire and the rest of the Kindle lineup which includes the Kindle Touch 3G for $149 and the $79 Kindle.

Amazon’s Kindle Touch comes in both Wi-Fi only and 3G and features:

  • Library book loaning
  • Real page numbers
  • Kindle singles – which are very short eBooks
  • Email documents to the device
  • Cloud backup of books and content
  • Pre-registered so it opens greeting you by name

The 3G for the Kindle Touch is free and it’s available worldwide which definitely makes this an e-reader worth considering. In fact, we have it listed on our five best eReader options for the holiday season.

Before you buy one though, you’ll want to be sure to check out our hands-on with the Kindle Touch.
