Samsung Fascinate Gingerbread Update Ready, Rolling Out Now?

Posted by | 12/01/2011 | 3 Comments

Just a few short days after Samsung and Verizon managed to push the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update to the Samsung Droid Charge, it would appear that another miracle is at hand as Verizon apparently has Android 2.3 primed and ready for the Samsung Fascinate, the carrier’s original Galaxy S device. It also appears that at least one Fascinate owner has already received the update.

That could mean that the update is available right now or it could mean that Verizon is tossing it to a few Fascinate owners in order to make sure that the update is ready for the masses.

No matter. Even if a mass roll out isn’t happening at this very moment, we now know it’s close.

Per usual, the update will be coming with quite a few fixes and enhancements not called Gingerbread which should certainly be welcomed by those of you still holding onto your original Galaxy S.

Be sure to check for an update in your phone’s Settings.
