HTC Rezound Price Drops to $150 at Amazon

Published

on

The 4G LTE-powered HTC Rezound, which launched on Verizon back in November, has now dropped to a very affordable $150 at Amazon. That price is available to not only those looking to sign up for a new two-year contract with Big Red but the offer is also open to those that want to use their upgrade on the device.

The HTC Rezound is and was the first phone to launch in the United States with Beats Audio. It also has some impressive specifications on board including a 720p HD display that checks in at 4.3-inches, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and all sorts of other bells and whistles that put it in the upper echelon of mobile phones, at least hardware-wise.

Software-wise, it comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board out of the box. And while HTC has promised to get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out to the Rezound in 2012, there are no guarantees.

It also didn’t help that HTC decided to launch the HTC Rezound in between the Motorola Droid RAZR and the Android 4.0-powered Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

HTC Rezound

Some would argue that it never stood a chance.

Still, launch dates and updates aside, in our review of the HTC Rezound, we found it to be a solid device. And it becomes even better with a price tag of $150. Throw in the fact that it comes with a pair of $99 Beats Audio headphones and this is something that warrants your attention.

Does it command a purchase?

That’s ultimately up to you to decide.

Hasn’t Beats Audio been proven time and again to be a worthless equalizer trick that does nothing for sound quality (response, signal to noise…) ?

Razr has a non-replaceable battery and Nexus has no SD slot, so it looks like Rezound will be  replacing my incredible…..just became eligible. Just a couple questions:
Can rezound be used internationally with the proper SIM card like the incredible 2?
Does it have FM radio hardware like my incredible and other HTC phones?
