4G LTE Droid Bionic With Accessories for $99 at Costco

Published

on

The dual-core Motorola Droid Bionic, one of the most full-featured 4G LTE smartphones on Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network, will be selling for $99 with a two-year service agreement at Costco. The price includes a free accessories package thrown in, which includes a desktop dock, car dock, and extra charger.

Costco’s selling price is $100 less than the $199.99 that Verizon Wireless is retailing the phone for through its official retail channels–Verizon doesn’t throw in the free accessories package in its retail price for the phone.

The phone had recently received a software upgrade that fixes some lingering bugs. The Droid Bionic is expected to be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich next year.

If you didn’t get a smartphone from loved ones over the holiday, this may be a good post-holiday self gift that you can get if you’re eyeing a 4G smartphone.

Though it may not be a big deal with many users, the main problem that I’ve experienced with the Droid Bionic is the pixelated display thanks to the PenTile-based qHD screen. Additionally, I’ve noticed the screen to flicker at times, and the flickering is more noticeable when viewing videos on the 4.3-inch display.
