HTC Titan II for AT&T Hands-on Video

Earlier today, Chuong and I attended the 2012 AT&T Developer Summit where AT&T’s Ralph de le Vega and HTC’s Peter Chou announced the HTC Titan II. The Titan II is one of the 1st LTE Windows Phone devices announced to run on AT&T’s LTE network.

The HTC Titan II has a 4.7 screen, it features a  Qualcomm’s 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S2 processor,  and it has an upgraded 1730 mAh battery. The Titan II has a 16 Megapixel camera with an impressive f/2.6 wide angle lens and dual LED flash. It will record 720P HD video and has a 1.3 Megapixel front facing camera.

Earlier today, I posted about this announcement from the AT&T Developer Summit and promised that Chuong and I would bring you some hands on coverage of the Titan II. This evening, we were able to get that hands on and WOW, It’s nice!

The HTC Titan II is the 1st LTE Windows Phone announced in the US as well as the 1st phone with a 16 Megapixel camera. There was no date or price announced today.

The HTC Titan II feels just like the HTC Titan that’s currently in AT&T’s smartphone line up. The 4.7″ screen is one of the larger smartphone screens out there and this one is beautiful.

The Titan II doesn’t offer a ton more than what you can do on the original HTC Titan. It’s running the same version on Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) as the Titan and looks and feels almost identical. What is different is the slight boost in battery, support for LTE and HSPA+ as a backup, and a huge boost in camera specs for the front and rear cameras. The styling of the Titan II is has changed a tad with a  slight curved profile in a similar was to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

The phone it’s self was very fast and responsive. It felt great in my large hands.

Overall, I feel that the HTC Titan II will definitely be a winner for AT&T customers and easily pushed it’s way into one of the top two spots for all Windows Phone offerings regardless of carrier. I would definitely love to see this one land on multiple carriers soon.

There is no information on pricing or available. I would guess that it should roll out within the next two months.
