Samsung Galaxy Note Headed to Sprint and Verizon?

Published

on

We’re pretty big fans of the Samsung Galaxy Note, so much so, that we awarded it with our Best Versatile Mobile Device award at CES 2012. Thing is, the version we saw was a 4G LTE device headed to AT&T’s network leaving little choice for consumers in the U.S. who want this 5.3-inch beast. Well, according to a new rumor, that one-carrier business could end soon with a launches on both Sprint and Verizon apparently on the horizon.

According to a report from Examiner, the device will indeed be headed to both the Now Network and Big Red with launches taking place during the first half of 2012. It’s also possible that the devices won’t be called the Galaxy Note when they arrive, instead launching under different names.

The Samsung Galaxy Journal is the name that seems to be the front-runner at the moment.

Galaxy Note

Of course, nothing is set in stone here so don’t put all of your eggs all into one basket just yet. However, the Galaxy Note has quite a bit of buzz surrounding it and Sprint is poised to launch its 4G LTE network later on this year (although it did not mention the Galaxy Note alongside its launch devices), which means that a launch is not outside the realm of possibility.

So, if you were bummed about the possibility that AT&T would be the only carrier to take the phone/tablet hybrid that uses Samsung’s S-Pen stylus, there is hope for you yet.

Let’s hope that a launch is just around the corner.

AT&T is so aggravating with their slowness is releasing this phone that’s been available in other countries for months! Verizon or Sprint would deserve to capture AT&T’s customers who are waiting on this phone.
