T-Mobile’s Nokia Lumia 710 Now Available for Free

Just a few short days ago, the first Nokia-made Windows Phone for the U.S., the Nokia Lumia 710, launched on T-Mobile for $50, making it a great value for those looking to get aboard the Microsoft train  with a solid device in hand. But maybe that price was a little steep for some of you and if  that’s the case, you’ll be happy to know that Walmart is offering up the Lumia 710 for the low price of free.

And yes, you can get it in either black or white.

Unfortunately, it appears that this deal is only for those signing brand new two year contracts. Those looking to renew one will have to pony up $50 for the device, the same price that T-Mobile is asking for it.

The Lumia 710 for T-Mobile features features a 3.7-inch ClearBlack LCD display that checks in with 800 x 480 resolution, 512MB RAM, 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 5MP rear camera, and 8GB of storage.

Those specs make it the perfect entry level phone for someone that wants a phone that isn’t necessarily top of the line, but one that won’t be thrown into the trash the next day. And the fact that it’s currently available for free makes it that much better.
