Galaxy Tab with Android 4.0 and 2GHz Processor Coming in February?

Samsung will likely not be announcing the Galaxy S III at next months Mobile World Congress but that doesn’t mean the company is going to stay quiet. It will announce something and the latest rumor has it unveiling a new Galaxy Tab that’s powered by a dual-core 2 GHz Exynos 5250 processor and Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

The rumor comes courtesy of Android and Me and it’s based on a prototype that they saw at CES 2012. That prototype was apparently running that 2GHz Exynos processor along with Ice Cream Sandwich. So, the thought is, if that prototype was at CES, it’s probably ready to make its debut and MWC seems like the place where Sammy would make such an announcement.

As for the rest of the possible specs, that remains a mystery although it appears that it might feature a display bigger than 10 inches with WXQGA (2560×1600) resolution. If true, it would become the biggest device, in terms of screen size, that Samsung has offered to date.

Right now, the company currently offers tablets with displays that measure in at 10.1, 8.2 and 7.7 inches. Right now, it’s unclear how much bigger the display on the new device will be.

Before you put all of your eggs into one basket, keep in mind, none of this is set in stone. However, the fact that Samsung already has all of the pieces working together means it’s not entirely out of the question.

In addition, Samsung needs to make some sort of a splash at MWC now that the Galaxy S III won’t be arriving and a new tablet with the company’s new processor is a decent alternative.

I’m having a hard time even considering a tablet until their DPI gets above 300.

well I can think of 3 tablets with 1080p and up resolutions coming out soon.
      IPad 3
      Acer A700
      The updated Tansformer Prime.

I don’t know if it translates into 300 plus dpi but if the low resolution is what was bugging you then you don’t have to wait much longer
