Motorola Droid 4 Price All But Confirmed

Published

on

Earlier today, we heard that the Motorola Droid 4 release date figures to be Friday, February 10th, and now, it appears that we have some information on the device’s pricing. A screenshot which depicts Verizon’s internal system all but confirms the Droid 4’s price as $199 with the signing of a new-two year contract and $549 for those that wish to obtain it without signing an agreement with the carrier.

And while this is looking good, Verizon has yet to confirm any of this and it’s subject to change, so you might want to put a little extra away just in case.

If true, and we presume it to be, the Droid 4 will be one of the most affordable Verizon 4G LTE smartphones to date. That’s great but what makes this even better is that the Droid 4 is actually a fantastic device.

After going hands-on with it at CES 2012, we came away shockingly impressed by what Motorola and Verizon conjured up. The keyboard is one of the best we’ve ever come into contact with and the other bells and whistles were up to snuff.

The only thing we wish it had was Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich but we imagine Moto and Big Red will get the device up to speed as soon as they possibly can.

So, once next week rolls around, many of you will be faced with a crucial decision.

Motorola Droid 4?

Or Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX.

Between now and then, you’ll want to check out our comparison of the two as well as our full review of the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX to better prepare you for the Droid 4’s launch.

And be sure to check back in for our full review of the Droid 4 once it arrives.
