Today is launch day for the Motorola Droid 4, a device that we awarded our Best Smartphone of CES 2012 award, and if you head over to Verizon’s website right now, you can snag it for $199.99 on-contract. Not a bad price. However, if you’re looking to save some cash and you’re a new customer signing a new contract, you can head over to Amazon and grab it for a mere $99.99.

Again, that price is for a 4G LTE device that launches today.

Those of you looking to upgrade, you’ll also be treated to a discount at Amazon. The retailer is currently offering the Droid 4 to upgraders for a mere $149. And while $50 isn’t as good as $100, it’s certainly a decent discount.

And at that $100 price point, it’s certainly worth your attention.
