From the front glass to the rear shell, and yes, even the home button, M.I C has the outer shell of the iPad HD.

In the iPad 3 hands on video below, you can see what the new iPad may look like from front to back. There is no Retina Display in this video, but we’ve already seen a number of Retina Display leaks. In the video you can see the new home button and the current Smart Cover attaching to the iPad 3.

Despite Apple’s tight security, it looks like much of the new iPad 3 or iPad HD has leaked out. With that in mind, it wouldn’t be the first time that Apple has surprised us on stage with a completely different looking gadget. Last fall, the iPhone 4S launched, instead of a teardrop shaped iPhone 5, which many users had expected.

M.I.C Gadget also got hands on several iPad 3 cases, from Shenzhen, reporting that thousands of iPad 3 cases have already been shipped to the U.S. Based on the iPad 3 body that M.I.C has in-house, you’ll want to keep your Smart Cover, but the new tapered edges will prevent most iPad 2 cases from working with the iPad 3.

You can see the difference in the edges of the iPad 2 and the iPad 3 in the image below. M.I.C Gadgets has a large collection of iPad 2 vs. iPad 3 comparison photos to check out.

The iPad 3 is slightly thicker and has more tapered edges.

The details go even further, with a reported image of the iPad 3 run through an X-Ray. The resulting image, shown below, shows 3 large batteries and the components of the new iPad, but unfortunately don’t give enough detail to discern any more information about what processor is inside the iPad 3.
