Earlier today, Amazon announced that it would be hosting a sale throughout March on every single 4G WiMax for Sprint leading us to speculate that a 4G LTE roll out will be taking place in April. Well, the retailer has also just unveiled a sale on smartphones for Verizon, specifically, every single DROID-branded smartphone that it currently has available. The deal, which puts some device at a mere penny, starts today and will last through March 26th.
Now, this deal isn’t as good as the Sprint sale where every device is available for a penny. It’s close though.
Amazon is offering up a number of devices for a penny and it has also dropped the prices on a couple of recent releases including the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX and the Motorola Droid 4.
Here is how it breaks down:
- Motorola Droid 3 – $.01
- Motorola Droid 4 – $49.99
- Motorola Droid Bionic 16GB – $.01
- Motorola Droid X2 – $.01
- Motorola Droid Pro – $.01
- Motorola Droid RAZR – $49.99
- Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX 32GB – $199.99
That $50 price tag for the 4G LTE enabled Droid 4, which has one of the best physical keyboards ever made, is quite a steal. Remember, it was released just a few weeks ago.
Now, keep in mind. In order to take advantage of these prices, you’re going to need to activate a new device. So, if signing a new contract isn’t in the cards, you’re going to have to look elsewhere for a new smartphone.
Like the Galaxy Nexus or HTC Rezound, both of which are also on sale at Amazon. You can also get double the data with both of those phones as well as with a select few of the DROIDs.
