Galaxy Nexus Headed to AT&T?

Published

on

AT&T has been rumored to be getting the Samsung Galaxy Nexus for its 4G LTE network and it appears that a release might be just around the corner.

According to a source of AndroRev, AT&T 4G LTE SIM cards are currently out for testing for the Galaxy Nexus. Apparently the SIM cards are standard and not microSIM, like the card found in the Verizon version of the Galaxy Nexus.

This is not the first time that a Galaxy Nexus for AT&T has been rumored to be getting the Galaxy Nexus, but the last whispers about it came all the way back in October of last year.

Since then, the device has launched on Verizon, to good reviews, and it has also been announced for Sprint’s upcoming 4G LTE network, a network that will launch later on this month.

AndroRev claims that its source is someone close to the situation but at this point, it’s best to take the rumor with a hefty grain of salt as we haven’t heard or seen anything about an AT&T model in quite some time.

Consumers can get the Galaxy Nexus on AT&T right now though.

The unlocked model can run on AT&T’s network. Problem is, it doesn’t come with a cheap price tag.

AT&T’s 4G LTE network could benefit from the presence of a Galaxy Nexus as it is the only next-generation device that sports a vanilla version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Are you in interested in a Galaxy Nexus on AT&T if it does indeed arrive?

Dedinitely! I just hope that ATT won’t put too much crap aka bloatware on this awesome device. And hopefully they’ll release the black and the white colo the same time so consumer have choices on colors like the iphone crap!
