Blue Motorola Droid RAZR Release Date and Pricing Confirmed?

Published

on

It would appear that there is now a fairly solid release date for Verizon’s upcoming blue version of the Motorola Droid RAZR.

Earlier intelligence pegged Verizon as releasing the blue Droid RAZR on May 17th or May 18th and now, we have another piece of evidence courtesy of Droid-Life that has the carrier launching the phone on May 17th for $149.99 with the signing of a new two-year contract.

A likely scenario is that Verizon will make the phone available online on May 17th and then will have it in stores on May 18th. Neither Motorola or Verizon have confirmed anything in regards to this device so it’s still up in the air. However, a May 17th release date with a $150 price tag looks good for the blue colored Droid RAZR.

The blue version of the Motorola Droid RAZR will be no different than the Droid RAZR that’s already available on Verizon’s 4G LTE network. So that means that interested parties will find a phone that sports a dual-core processor, an 8-megapixel camera with HD video recording capabilities, a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, and a design that checks in at a slim 7.1mm.

Verizon currently offers the Droid RAZR in a variety of colors including both white and purple, colors that it announced back in January at CES.

It’s unclear if the blue color will be coming to Verizon’s other Droid RAZR smartphone, the Droid RAZR MAXX.

The carrier did however just announce a new Droid smartphone in the HTC-made Droid Incredible 4G LTE which will be out at some point in the weeks ahead.
