Samsung Galaxy S III pre-orders have begun on three American carriers in AT&T, Sprint and Verizon.

As promised, AT&T, Sprint and Verizon have begun taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S III. The other two U.S. carriers that will be getting the hardware, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular, have yet to make pre-orders available to consumers.

Interestingly, AT&T and Verizon have yet to give the device a concrete release date. Sprint, on the other hand, will be launching the phone on its 4G LTE network on June 21st.

Here is how the pricing breaks down for each carrier:

AT&T

  • Blue/White 16GB only – $199.99 – AT&T will only be selling a 16GB version of the Samsung Galaxy S III but will be selling a cheap 16GB microSD card. It will also offer a red Galaxy S III later this summer.

Sprint

  • Blue/White 16GB – $199.99 on new two-year contract, 32GB – $249.99 on new two-year contract.

Verizon

  • Blue/White 16GB – $199.99 on new two-year contract, 32GB – $249.99 on new two-year contract.

So, the launches on Sprint and Verizon will be pretty standard while the launch on AT&T offers a couple of differences. We still don’t know exactly when the red Galaxy S III will launch either.

Besides those differences, the devices on these carriers will offer the same features and design, a departure from the Galaxy S II which looked different on the differing U.S. carriers.

The Galaxy S III features a massive 4.8-inch display, a speedy 1.5GHz dual-core processor, an 8MP rear camera capable of shooting 1080p video, a 1.9MP front-facing camera for video chat and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz out of the box.

It will also run on the 4G LTE networks of AT&T, Sprint and Verizon which will provide data speeds up to 10 times faster than those found on typical 3G networks.
