Motorola Droid RAZR HD Appears in First Photos

Verizon’s Motorola Droid RAZR HD has finally made an appearance.

The oft-rumored Motorola Droid RAZR HD for Verizon has finally surfaced in a couple of photos today over at Droid-Life. And while the photos aren’t amazing, they give us the first glimpse at a phone that should appeal to both smartphone enthusiasts and those looking for a new device.

The back plate on the phone reveals that this is indeed a phone that is headed to Verizon’s 4G LTE network and the back appears to be made of Kevlar which will help to protect the phone from the elements and clumsiness.

We can also see that the phone has a camera in the middle with LED flash and a speaker off to the side of it.

In addition, from another photo, it looks as though Motorola has been able to flatten out the back, likely because there is a massive 3,300mAh battery, same as the battery in the Droid RAZR MAXX, inside.

Motorola has also put the microHDMI and USB ports on the bottom of the phone.

No confirmation on the screen resolution though we believe it to be 720p in quality and the device is also said to be rocking a Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor.

Now, unfortunately, there is still no word on when this device will be hitting Verizon’s 4G LTE network. Droid-Life is hearing two months from now and that seems about right, considering Verizon still has to launch both the Droid Incredible 4G LTE and the Samsung Galaxy S III this summer.

So, there’s the Droid RAZR HD. Anyone interested?
