AT&T Galaxy S III and Sprint Galaxy S III Prices Drop

Published

Those looking for a deal on a Samsung Galaxy S III in the U.S. should look no further than the deals that Amazon and Wirefly have going on for the AT&T Galaxy S III and Sprint Galaxy S III.

Amazon and Wirefly have informed us that they both have deals going on for separate U.S.-bound Galaxy S III devices. While Amazon has a deal on the AT&T Galaxy S III, Wirefly has a deal on the Sprint Galaxy S III.

The deal at Amazon has AT&T’s Galaxy S III available for a mere $150 on-contract to those that are looking to upgrade to a new smartphone. Oddly enough, those looking to sign a new contract will have to sell out $190 for the Galaxy S III. Often times, its upgraders that have to pay more.

As far as the Wirefly deal is concerned, the retailer is currently offering the Sprint’s Galaxy S III for $180 on-contract. That’s only a little bit of a discount but any price drop is certainly nice pre-launch.

Again, both of these sales are for pre-orders. While Sprint will be launching the Galaxy S III on June 21st, AT&T has yet to give the Galaxy S III a release date.

We have seen that it plans to start shipping it out in just a few days but as of yet, the carrier has not given consumers a concrete release date for the smartphone. We assume it will soon.

Galaxy S III

Unlike Sprint, AT&T has a couple of caveats as far as its Galaxy S III is concerned. One bad, one good.

AT&T will only be offering the 16GB Galaxy S III which means that users will want to pick up a microSD card to expand the device’s storage.

It has also announced that it will be carrying a red Samsung Galaxy S III at some point this summer.

Sprint will offer both the 16GB and 32GB models.

The Samsung Galaxy S III on both AT&T and Sprint will feature a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and a super-thin 8.6 millimeter design. It’ll also pack a rear 8MP camera capable of shooting 1080p video.
