Google Launches Google Offers iPhone App

iPhone users finally have an easier way to access Google Offers from their smartphone.

Google announced the official Google Offers app for iPhone on The Official Google Blog today. The app gives iPhone users an easier way to access Google’s daily offer site. An Android app is already available, and has been for quite some time.

The Google Offers app lets iPhone users search for nearby offers easily. The app shows users their location on Google Maps and marks local offers with blue tags. Users simply tap the tag they want to look at to find out more. Not all offers are local, some might be online-only. Those offers are available in the Featured section of the app.

Like other daily offers apps like Groupon, the Google Offers app is also useful because it stores users offers. With the app users don’t need to print anything out, they simply need to present their phone to the cashier with the app open to redeem it. It saves on paper, and it makes it so users don’t have to worry about getting to a printer before redeeming the offer.

Google Offers will also notify users when their offers are about to expire so the money isn’t wasted.

The Google Offers service is still only available in a few select cities, but the app is useful for those who live in those cities, or for users who want the online-only offers. Given how quickly the hype around sites like Groupon died down, we’re surprised Google is still running Google Offers, but we’re happy to have a new way to use it while it is still around.
