Galaxy S III Arriving in Verizon Stores 2 Days Later Than Expected on 7/12

It looks like high-demand for Samsung’s third-generation flagship Android smartphone may be keeping the Galaxy S III out of Verizon’s stores for two days longer than expected. The device will now arrive in stores starting July 12 instead of the anticipated July 10 date, though Verizon Wireless had already begun shipping pre-order units for delivery.

Verizon Wireless has not given any reason for why the Galaxy S III will be delayed in stores. The phone has been highly anticipated in the U.S. and launches on T-Mobile USA, AT&T, and Sprint have all been problematic for Samsung as it struggles to meet demand.

The Galaxy S III will be available for $200 for the 16 GB version. A 32 GB model will cost $250 with a two-year contract. The Galaxy S III comes with a dual-core Snapdragon S4 CPU, a 720p HD display, NFC, and a number of Samsung-specific apps and programs, including the S Voice voice assistant app.
