The HTC Rezound Ice Cream Sandwich release date remains unclear even as owners sit two days out from the end of a promise roll out window.
HTC originally promised that the HTC Rezound Ice Cream Sandwich release date would fall into either the month of June or the month of July. That promsise was made many weeks ago and HTC Rezound owners have since been wondering when the update might arrive.
As of now, that tidbit is unclear. We do know that the update was approved by Verizon and that the software is sitting in Verizon’s queue. However, we’ve been told that the queue doesn’t mean much for immanency as the update could be sitting in there for days, weeks or months.
However, with the month of July winding down, HTC Rezound owners are hoping that it leaves the queue within the next 48 hours lest it miss its promised roll out window.
It’s very possible that July is still in the mix for a roll out date as the HTC Rezound update has seemingly been on the verge of rolling out for weeks.
We’ve heard from an HTC rep who said that it would be rolling out July with that roll out continuing into August. We’ve seen it leak out to the surface. And we’ve even seen it make some unofficial appearances on HTC’s website, a sign that something should be close.
Yet, we haven’t heard from the companies that matter, namely, HTC and Verizon. Both have remained mum on the update and likely will continue that until the update begins to hit devices, something that again we expect to happen by the end of tomorrow.
HTC Rezound should have no reason to worry about the update not rolling out but it HTC and Verizon are now down to the wire as far as a deadline is concerned.
Let’s hope that we see something roll out soon.
