Nokia Integrates Groupon Deals Into Maps

Nokia Maps, which is currently available exclusively to Nokia’s Lumia-branded line of Windows Phone 7 smartphones, has recently been updated to incorporate Groupon deals. When users search for a business or categories of businesses, a map will populate with the usual pins. However, if there are any specials, discounts, or offers that are going on, a special pin with a green G–for Groupon–will appear to alert users that there is a discount.

Groupon Now! on Nokia Maps is a great way to get nearby deals on demand that you can buy and use the same day. You can buy them and use them right away for instant gratification. We think that this is a perfect way to try new places or find great offers around you, in your home city or when traveling.

If a user selects the deal, then they will be taken to the Groupon mobile site to claim their deals.

According to Nokia, the update is currently available right now in Windows Phone Marketplace for Lumia owners. However, it may take a few days for the update to appear. If you see version 2.5.0.0, then that is the latest version that you’d want to download.
