Motorola Droid RAZR Mini Hitting Verizon as Droid M

Published

The Motorola Droid M, a device previously known XT907 and the Droid RAZR Mini, will apparently be hitting Verizon’s 4G LTE network soon for cheap.

BGR has unearthed some evidence that suggests that Verizon is going to be launching the Motorola Droid M for a cool $149.99 on-contract.

The device, which resembles a smaller Droid RAZR, will apparently come in two color variants with both black and white vying for the attention of customers.

The Motorola Droid M is expected to feature a qHD display, a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, an NFC chip for use with services similar to Google Wallet and of course, 4G LTE data speeds.

This is very likely, the Motorola Droid M.

4G LTE data will allow the Droid M to pull down data speeds that are up to 10 times faster than those found on typical 3G networks.

It’ll also have dual-cameras though the mega-pixel count on each is still unknown. We assume that it will be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as its out of the box operating system if it’s indeed launching soon but there is of course a possibility that it will run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the latest OS from Google.

Motorola and Verizon have an event set for September 5th wherein the companies will likely talk about not only the Droid M but the Motorola Droid RAZR HD, a device that is set to replace the Motorola Droid RAZR in the carrier’s lineup.

The Droid RAZR HD is a high-end device and it will be coming with a 720p display, possibly 4.6-inches in size, a dual-core S4 processor from Qualcomm, an 8MP rear camera, and quite possibly, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Again, prospective owners are holding out hope that Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is on board though it looks like ICS at this point.

Fortunately, we only have a few days before we find out for sure.
