Nokia is teasing it’s Windows Phone 8 announcement ahead of its event with Microsoft on September 5th.

In the video, Nokia claims that “Things Are About to Change” with whatever it’s going to be announcing on September 5th. The 21 second vignette doesn’t specifically say what’s going to change but we can assume that it has something to do with the Windows Phone 8 hardware that the Finnish company is set to show off on September 5th.

Prior to the Nokia PureView unveil, PureView being the company’s impressive mobile camera technology, Nokia released a video that teased the technology that ended up on Nokia’s Symbian-powered PureView 808 smartphone. This time around, we aren’t exactly sure what Nokia is trying to tell us.

It’s possible that this video was shot using a Windows Phone 8 device sporting PureView, we’ve heard rumors of such a device, and it’s also possible that Nokia is just trying to drum up some attention on Galaxy Note 2 launch day with a vague video hinting at absolutely nothing.

It would seem that the former is more likely.

Thus far, we aren’t exactly sure what Nokia is going to launch at the event though we’re fairly certain we’re going to see some hardware announced at the show, especially now that Samsung has revealed its first Windows Phone 8 smartphone.

While details surrounding the Arrow remain murky, the Phi has leaked out several times in recent days with the most current rumor pegging it as having a massive 4.7-inch display, a thin design, NFC, and 4G LTE data speeds in addition to Windows Phone 8. And hopefully, it has PureView technology on it as well.

It’s unclear when these devices will arrive although October for the Nokia Phi has been thrown around. As for Windows Phone 8, it has been rumored for a November release.

Don’t look for Microsoft or Nokia to add in any specifics in regards to the release dates on September 5th either.
