Samsung Galaxy S III Jelly Bean Update Roll Out Closer Than Ever

Published

on

The Samsung Galaxy S III Jelly Bean update leaks keep on coming for the international version of the Galaxy S III and the latest leak improves upon the last two leaks which were both nearly perfect which means that we’re now closer than ever to a roll out.

SamMobile has leaked yet another Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S III and the latest build is called I9300XXDLI5 which is the international Galaxy S III’s latest Jelly Bean test build.

The latest version is said to improve on two other nearly perfect versions that leaked out in the last few days, a sign that Samsung is likely closing in on a release date, said to be sometime this week.

The Galaxy S III Jelly Bean update appears close.

This pre-release software is said to have a number of changes over the last test builds including:

  • Maps compass is fixed
  • Maps arrow for direction is fixed
  • UI is smoother and faster
  • Smart Stay Improved
  • Very Stable
  • No FCs
  • Found other changes ? Tell us in the comment section below.

And while the software may be perfect, again, it’s a test build which means that owners of the international Galaxy S III that aren’t skilled at installing unreleased software should probably hold off until the official build arrives.

That should be soon given the rumors and the fact that numerous stable builds have leaked out recently.

Samsung’s official stance has not changed since IFA when the company announced that the Jelly Bean updates for the Galaxy Note 10.1, Galaxy Note and Galaxy S III would be rolling out very soon.

Thus far, it appears that the Galaxy S III Jelly Bean will likely be the first of the trio to roll out to owners.

As for owners of the Galaxy S III in the United States, we’ve heard that the update could come by the end of September but at this point, we wouldn’t start holding any breath in.

American carriers are notoriously slow to Android updates and they will likely be slow to the Galaxy S III’s Jelly Bean software.
