Asus will be updating the Transformer Prime and Transformer Pad Infinity with Jelly Bean soon.

Here is the full message that Asus’ Gary Key posted on XDA Developers forums:

Dear Valued ASUS Customers,

We are pleased to announce that we will soon be rolling out a major software update for both the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity (TF700) and ASUS Transformer Pad Prime (TF201), which will bring Android™ 4.1, Jelly Bean to the devices. We always strive to deliver the latest updates for our customers – we hope you enjoy it.

Thank you for your continued support.

North American Update –
For those users in the US and Canada, the 10.4.4.14.1 Release should be available within the next 72 hours.

What this means is that within the next 72 hours, owners of the Transformer Prime and Transformer Pad Infinity will be taken from Ice Cream Sandwich to Jelly Bean, the latter of which is a huge improvement over the former.

Jelly Bean brings a number of enhancements to the table including a smoother and faster UI, enhanced Notifications, re-sizable widgets, a new Google app drawer and a whole lot more.

It’s certainly a step up from ICS so owners of these tablets will definitely want to look into upgrading.

Asus has been ahead of the curve when it comes to getting its devices updated with the latest Android updates. In fact, it was able to beat Verizon’s Galaxy Nexus to Jelly Bean with the Transformer Pad 300 Jelly Bean update.

Those who own one of these devices should be on the look out for these updates.
