The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 launch date in the U.S. may wind up being October 24th as Samsung has sent out event invites for an event that we presume has to do with Samsung’s new 5.5-inch phablet.
Samsung already announced the Galaxy Note 2 back in August but it looks like the party will continue at an event in New York City on October 24th. We imagine that Samsung will be hosting the event in the evening to celebrate the Galaxy Note 2’s arrival in the United States though we don’t know if it will mark the release date or if Samsung will just provide the details at the event.
We previously heard that AT&T would launch the Galaxy Note 2 on October 21st though nothing has been confirmed and October 24th is now looking like a pretty good date for a release as well.
U.S. Cellular has said that its Galaxy Note 2, which is currently up for pre-order, will be arriving in October. Dates for Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon have yet to appear though Samsung previously said November and it could be that they will launch then.
Samsung is not saying what’s happening on October 24th. In fact, it hasn’t even said that it’s for the Galaxy Note 2 though the S-Pen on the invite is a dead giveaway.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is the company’s latest smartphone and it will formally launched in the United Kingdom on October 1st, almost a month before the U.S. launch.
It will feature a 5.5-inch screen with HD quality resolution a quad-core processor, 4G LTE data speeds, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean right out of the box. It’s set to compete with devices like the LG Intuition, currently available on Verizon, and the Droid Incredible X which is rumored for launch on Verizon in November.
It will replace the original Galaxy Note which hit AT&T in February.
