Published

on

The first Windows 8 fully rugged tablet PC is now available for users that need a military rugged tablet running Windows 8.

This is no Ultrabook Convertible, but it is a specialized device that is designed for users who are out in the field in conditions where an iPad or a consumer grade Ultrabook Convertible wouldn’t hold up.

The MobileDemand xTablet T1200 is the company’s first Windows 8 tablet, offering a 10.4-inch display and the latest Intel 3rd generation processors and up to 16GB of RAM. This tablet can run Windows 8 professional or Windows 7 Professional. While many businesses may be slow to adopt Windows 8, those looking for a better touch experience.

The tablet includes a front facing camera for video chat as well as a 5MP rear facing camera for sharing worksite conditions and other information with a home office.

Users will find an array of connectivity options and ports including GPS, PCMCIA, SDHC, smart card readers, 2 USB 3.0 ports, serial port, Gigabit Ethernet and options for 3G, 4G LTE and Bluetooth 4.0.

The xTablet T1200 includes a three-year warranty and is designed to handle more abuse than a standard tablet. The MIL-STD 810G rating means this Windows 8 tablet should be able to handle a 5 foot drop, extreme temperatures and more. The tablet receives an IP65 rating for dust and rain.
