iPad mini with LTE tracking

The iPad min with LTE is shipping to some shoppers.

Apple sent email notifications to users that ordered early, with a FedEx tracking number and the promise of a November 16th delivery, earlier than the November 21st date many users saw last week, and closer to the mid-November launch Apple promised.

According to FedEx, the iPad mini with LTE ordered by one GottaBeMobile writer is scheduled to arrive on November 15th with standard shipping.

iPad mini with LTE shipped

FedEx could deliver the iPad mini with LTE by Thursday.

Apple has yet to announce availability of the iPad mini with 4G LTE in stores, but based on rumors and the new shipping information the iPad 4th gen with LTE and the iPad mini with LTE could arrive in Apple Stores on Friday November 16th. The iPad mini with LTE is destined for AT&T, Sprint and Verizon, and third-party retailers, and could also arrive by Friday.

This is the first iPad launch in time for the holiday season, and it remains to be seen whether Apple can keep the iPad 4th generation and iPad mini on store shelves for shoppers looking to give them as a gift. Online shipping times are at two weeks, so there is still time to order for Christmas, but Apple would be better served with widespread availability at retail stores.

The iPad mini is a smaller iPad with a 7.9-inch display, an Apple A5 processor and a thin design. Apple sold 3 million iPads on opening weekend, though there is no distinction between the iPad 4th generation and iPad mini in those numbers. The IPad mini with LTE looks to be a popular choice for users on Verizon Share Everything and AT&T Mobile Share plans, because users can connect the tablet to data for just $10 a month with no contract.
