Google did not respond to a request for comment on when the LG Nexus 4 would be back in stock in the Google Play, a task that is compounded by backorders for users that ordered on the first day. The Nexus 7 is back in stock, but the Nexus 4 remains listed as out of stock with no way to sign up for alerts.

Google promised that the Nexus 4 stock would return to the Google Play store in the coming weeks, so there is hope that the Nexus 4 will go on sale through Google by mid December.

Just like any other popular item that has limited qnt, scalpers are going to try and make a quick buck. Nothing new here, just got to wait a little while longer for the frenzy to die down and google to get more of them.. my receipt says 4-5 weeks.

I do wish there was more competition for unlocked reasonably priced smartphones to choose from. Paying $300 for a new ‘subsidized’ smartphone and then paying another x-thou over the life of a contract sucks. Currently the once a year Nexus w/ the latest tech and low price is where its at.
