Google’s U.S. Google Play Store now lists the Nexus 4 bumper case as in stock and shipping out within three to five business days which means that owners of the Nexus 4 could see the case arrive at some point this week if ordered today. The case, if bought through the Google Play Store, is much cheaper than it would be through a site like eBay where it’s being sold for over $50. Through Google, the Nexus 4 bumper case is a mere $19.99, a much more fitting price for this type of accessory.
The bumper case is definitely worth considering given the Nexus 4′s glass back, a back that is prone to cracking if dropped. With the case, owners who have a tendency to drop their smartphone will have a little more protection against potential cracks and dents.
This is the first time that the bumper case has been in stock on the U.S. Google Play Store since the phone went on sale back in November and it’s certainly possible that given the demand for the Nexus 4, that it could sell out again shortly. With the Nexus 4 itself, it went back up for sale only to see its shipping times get increasingly longer after initial stock sold out.
That being said, those who are interested in buying this case would be wise to place an order right now in order to avoid any kind of a shipping delay that might be associated with one of the Nexus 4′s best accessories.
As for the Nexus 4 itself, it remains out of stock for U.S. customers. The 8GB Nexus 4 is currently sold out and may not return to stock until 2013. Google has yet to say when it might return to the Play Store. As for the 16GB model, it still is listed as shipping out in five to six weeks.
The Nexus 4 is Google’s latest Android smartphone and due to its powerful hardware, software and cheap unlocked price tag, it has been a hit with not only Android enthusiasts but with average smartphone owners as well.
