Summary:

The Nexus 4 bumper case is an affordable, well designed Nexus 4 case that protects the glass back and adds a silver trim to the edge of the Nexus 4.

It’s as tough to find a Nexus 4 case as it is to order the Nexus 4 from Google, but the Nexus 4 bumper is one of the best options for protection without adding bulk or covering up the shiny back of the Nexus 4.

The Nexus 4 bumper case fits tightly on the phone adding minimal bulk and just 20 grams (about four quarters) of weight.

Review Summary:

Nexus 4 Bumper Review - 08

The Nexus 4 bumper case is a good value for Nexus 4 owners.

The Nexus 4 bumper case covers the volume and power buttons with small silver bumps. This makes it easier to find and press the buttons.

The sides of the bumper are black plastic with a sliver trim. The silver is more noticeable in person than in the photos in the Google Play Store. The silver accent swoops up at the top and bottom of the phone, which makes the Nexus 4 look a bit like the Galaxy S3.

Nexus 4 Bumper Review - 04

The Nexus 4 bumper case features a Galaxy S3-like silver accent.

The front lip and back lip of the bumper case is made out of a rubberized material that adds grip to the Nexus 4. This is an essential addition as the Nexus 4′s glas front and back is slick. The rubber lip keeps the glass back and the screen off tables and counters.

By keeping the back of the Nexus 4 open, it’s possible to still use a wireless charger, like the Nexus 4 wireless charging orb when it becomes available.

Nexus 4 Bumper Review - 09

The Nexus 4 bumper is small and light.

The case includes openings for the headphone jack, Micro USB charging port and one for the microphone on the top of the Nexus 4. Because the back is open there’s no need for cutouts around the speaker or camera.

The charger fits in the small opening without any trouble, but the Slimport HDMI adapter we reviewed takes added force and some wiggling to connect with the bumper case on the Nexus 4.

The Nexus 4 bumper won’t protect the Nexus 4 in extreme environments, but it is a nice case. Unlike the official Nexus 7 case, it is worth buying. We really like that the back of the Nexus is wide-open in this case, showing off the glittering back of the phone.

The Nexus 4 bumper case is out of stock from Google, and over $50 on Amazon. Google did not provide an estimate on when the Nexus 4 bumper will go on sale in the Google Play Store again.

It would be nice if we could get even one review of the Nexus 4 bumper case that includes some evaluation of how much shock protection it has. Will it protect the glass from breaking during routine drops? Who knows?

If you think Tiffany`s story is unimaginable…, 2 weaks-ago my boy frends brother also brought home $9709 sitting there eleven hours a week in their apartment and their friend’s mother-in-law`s neighbour was doing this for 7-months and got paid over $9709 part-time on their labtop. follow the guide on this web-site… jump15.comCHECK IT OUT (Click on menu “Home” for more information)

I did not like the nexus 4 bumper case. It does not add any grip and I found it made the phone easier to drop! Less grip. Sending mine back:(

I’m also pretty disappointed in this case. It looks great but I find it makes the phone far too slick and hard to hold on to. I hadn’t dropped my phone once in weeks of using it, after putting this case on it slipped out of my hand the first time I pulled it out of my pocket. No damage to the phone, so obviously the case does provide some protection. Compared to the RInke Slim case I was using before or even the bare phone this is much much more slippery!
