Earlier this week, T-Mobile announced that it would be rolling out the Galaxy Note 2 update today and as expected, the carrier did not disappoint. The update is now available to Galaxy Note 2 owners and it’s an update that those rocking the 5.5-inch phablet on T-Mobile should definitely download. Not only does it bring a few bug fixes to the table, but it also brings Multi-Window View, a feature that is already on other Galaxy Note 2’s.

The T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 finally got its Multi-Window View update.

Multi-Window View, which can be seen in the video below, allows owners of the device to split up the Galaxy Note 2′s massive 5.5-inch display into two sections, each running a separate application. For instance, in one section of the Galaxy Note 2 ‘s display, users can run Facebook and interact with their wall, while in the other, be checking out something on the web.

It’s a nifty little feature and one that T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 owners should be excited to obtain. The other improvements that will be coming along with the nearly 80MB update include:

  • New multi-window feature
  • Resolves Exchange calendar events not appearing on device Calendar
  • Resolves issues with being unable to swipe through Gmail messages

So while it’s not Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, it’s certainly an update worth snagging. To do just that, owners will want to head into the device settings and manually pull the update. This is likely going to be the least painful way of getting the software as the other option is to go through Samsung Kies which is often hit or miss when it comes to upgrading to new firmware.

Samsung Kies is indeed an option though should the OTA not be acceptable so owners who wish to do it that way will want to grab a computer, snag a USB cord, and fire up the application. The software should be there waiting.

I’ve got the note 2 on day 2 and trust me I was pissed when I didn’t see the multi view window out if box then they were saying tge feat is for only for the international versions only which from day 1 Samsung should have just came out & said that an update would have been needed & is gonna be available in the near future ppl would have got it and be happy to wait other than being kept in the dark thinking the main feature why we bought the phone is not gonna be available. I got mine updated today & it works great

Yes the multi window update is a great feature however why can’t we run apps or move the apps to the SD card. This really bothers me. I really don’t think I will continue to support Samsung. I won’t purchase anymore of their devices. They have the best designs however the updates are usually slow to non-existant and the fact that they have officially removed the ability to run and move apps to sd on all further devices is troubling.
