The Kindle Paperwhite takes everything we've loved about the eInk Kindle eBook readers and adds an innovative built-in light that illuminates the page so owners can read in the dark just as well as they can in the sun. Amazon also bumped up the resolution for the Paperwhite and the eReader includes a higher contrast ratio for better looking text that's easier to read. Even with the light, the Kindle Paperwhite gets 8 hours of battery life. In short, Amazon fixed one of the biggest complaints of the Kindle without cutting battery life significantly.
