Nexus 4 Shipping to T-Mobile, On Sale as Early as This Week

Published

on

The Nexus 4 is a tough smartphone to find, but T-Mobile should have limited stock of the Nexus 4 available to sell later this month, possibly as soon as this week.

According to TMoNews, the latest shipment of Nexus 4 units is on the way to T-Mobile stores, but shoppers shouldn’t get their hopes up as shipment numbers are incredibly low.

In the leaked document one T-Mobile store shows only 5 Nexus 4 units arriving. TMoNews claims this document shows that the promised Nexus 4 stock is on the way to stores, but isn’t able to confirm if this all T-Mobile stores can expect shipments of this size.

This small batch of Nexus 4 units are apparently already on the way to one store by UPS Ground, which means T-Mobile locations across the U.S. may start selling the Nexus 4 by the end of the week. T-Mobile is not offering any official Nexus 4 in-store reservation system or an official on-sale date for this new batch of Nexus 4 units.

Nexus 4 in Stock Soon

The Nexus 4 could go on sale at T-Mobile by the end of the week.

The Nexus 4 remains nearly impossible to buy. The Nexus 4 is out of stock on the Google Play Store, where it was last available in mid-December. T-Mobile also struggles to keep the Nexus 4 in-stock online, where it has been sold out for some time.

Shoppers can use an Android app to track when the Nexus 4 is on sale on the Google Play Store. The only way to find out if the local T-Mobile store is selling the Nexus 4 is to call and ask.

Estimates put the Nexus 4 sales at close to 400,000 units, an amount that cannot keep up with demand for the latest pure Google device and it’s $349 unlocked, off-contract price. T-Mobile charges $549, a $200 premium over Google, for the off-contract Nexus 4, but it will not likely have trouble selling the Nexus 4 later this month.

Nexus 4 production appears to be ramping up, with output at more than double the first month’s. This means we may see over 200,000 Nexus 4 units produced in January. Once split between all the various regions and shipped to the customers who ordered the Nexus 4 with a six to seven week wait, this may not last too long. Rumors that LG halted the Nexus 4 production appear to be unfounded, and shouldn’t affect availability any more than production already has.

I ordered mine in mid december and 1 month later i still don’t have my Nexus 4. Google and LG should really sort out new shipments to customers who have placed orders rather than shipping to T-mobile.
