Nexus 4 In Stock at U.S. Google Play Store Right Now

Published

on

Last night, it appeared that the Nexus 4 was primed and ready for another arrival the U.S. Google Play Store. Fortunately, appearances weren’t deceiving and the Nexus 4 is now available once again in the Play Store, unlocked, and ready to be bought, though, there are shipping times.

The Nexus 4 has been sold out at the U.S. Play Store since December, leaving interested customers with virtually no way of getting the unlocked 8GB or 16GB Nexus 4 at Google’s price points. Customers have had to go through arenas like eBay and Craigslist to secure an unlocked Nexus 4 but the prices are no where close to $299 and $349.

The Nexus 4 has returned to the U.S. Google Play Store.

Customers have also been tempted by the T-Mobile locked version which is currently up for sale through T-Mobile’s online store and now, through Best Buy as well. All that has changed however as the Nexus 4 has made its triumphant return back to the Google Play Store.

Both models are now listed in stock at the U.S. Google Play Store so those looking to buy can now add them to their cart. Right now, the shipping times on both devices is one to two weeks, much better than the shipping times that we saw when the device first went out of stock back in November.

There is no telling how long the supply might last but we imagine that things will likely have improved since December when the models disappeared from the Play Store.

Both models are now back in stock.

Between December, when the Nexus 4 first sold out and now, LG and Google have exchanged barbs about who was responsible for the supply issues that have seemingly affected the device since its launch in November. The accusations culminated in LG announcing that it would have the issues under control by the middle of February.

The Nexus 4 is Google’s current Nexus smartphone and it combines cheap pricing to go along with updated software in the form of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean as well as high-end hardware including a large HD display and quad-core processor.

    Hi, I’m smadger on XDA

After the first batch of Nexus 4s went missing I created the “Where’s my Nexus 4 – Register your Complaint” site to get Google’s attention, it appeared to work and opened up a dialogue with us and was partly responsible for Dan Conley’s statements.

We promised we would track their progress and now mkII of the site is up and running. It has nothing to do with Google, but should allow us to track the new orders, and provide a unified voice if there are problems.

If you manage to place an order for a new Nexus 4 device, please think about signing up – https://www.axiopo.com/google-play-performance/

If you have any questions, get in touch through the site. Thanks!
