Following in the footsteps of its U.S. neighbor, the Canadian Google Play Store also now has the Nexus 4 in stock ready to ship out to interested parties in just a few weeks time.

Earlier today, the Nexus 4 made its return to the U.S. version of the Google Play Store, several weeks after the device vanished completely. Those outside of the United States are getting treated to a return of the device as well as Google’s current Nexus has been cropping up in other Google Play Store’s around the world.

The Nexus 4 has returned to the Canada.

One of those regions is Canada. Google confirmed to us that the device is now available in Canada and it appears that the Canadian Google Play Store is now showing the Nexus 4 with shipping times of one to two weeks, just like its American counterpart. That means that those who want to get the Nexus 4 in Canada soon will likely want to place an order as soon as possible.

The Nexus 4’s return to the Canadian Play Store comes many weeks after the device flipped on its “Sold Out” sign and became unavailable for users to purchase. Of course, those who were looking for a quick fix were able to buy it through third-party avenues, but those avenues likely did not feature similar pricing to Google’s.

Now though, Canadian customers can take full advantage of Google’s generous pricing which stands at $299 for a 8GB unlocked Nexus 4 and $349 for a 16GB Nexus 4. That pricing is much lower than the typical unlocked smartphone, especially one of the Nexus 4’s caliber.

The Nexus 4 is Google’s latest Nexus smartphone and it combines Android 4.2 with a host of impressive hardware features including a large HD display, speedy quad-core processor, unique design and solid 8MP camera.

LG and Google have had a tough time keeping it in stock but it looks like those supply issues may have started to ease, more than two months after the device first launched.

    Hi, I’m smadger on XDA

After the first batch of Nexus 4s went missing I created the “Where’s my Nexus 4 – Register your Complaint” site to get Google’s attention, it appeared to work and opened up a dialogue with us and was partly responsible for Dan Conley’s statements.

We promised we would track their progress and now mkII of the site is up and running. It has nothing to do with Google, but should allow us to track the new orders, and provide a unified voice if there are problems.

If you manage to place an order for a new Nexus 4 device, please think about signing up – https://www.axiopo.com/google-play-performance/

If you have any questions, get in touch through the site. Thanks!

I don’t know if the Google Play store is Canadian or US, but my gmail account has the country set to Canada, but the Google Play store will still only let me ship to the US. Has anyone shipped to Canada successfully just now?

I was able to do it just a few moments ago, directly from Montreal.

Google Play in Canada is showing stock but it will not allow me to place an order with a Canadian address, only a U-S one.

I solved my Canadian ordering problem by tethering my phone to my laptop and signing in that way. I reasoned that there was something about my ISP connection (Shaw) that was making Google think I was ordering from the U-S. Before this success I had tried three computers and every browser I had without luck. Anyway, I now have an N4 on its way . . . sometime.

I had to tether as well then the Google Play store took the Canadian address.

i have been trying Since February 10th, 3-4 times a day, using my laptop, desktop, and Nexus phone to try and get a Nexus 4. I’ve cleared cookies, and even tested the Play Store by putting in orders for other items to see if it’s working correctly … but all i ever get is the dreaded screen pop-up: “unable to process at this time – please try again later”.

Now – am changing my attitude to anything but Google.
