The 5 Best Android Smartphones [February, 2013]

With January over and the rumor mill hard at work, we now have a bead on many of the upcoming Android smartphones for 2013 including the HTC M7, Samsung Galaxy S4 and more. Those that can’t wait for those phones though will be on the prowl during the month of February. Fortunately, there is still an abundance of fantastic Android smartphones on sale now.

Last month, we got a fairly clear picture of what to expect from 2013′s flagship smartphones and when to expect them. The HTC M7, HTC’s flagship, is rumored for to be launching later this month with a release slated for March. The Samsung Galaxy S4 is rumored for a late March launch with a release in the month of April.

For many, these will be the phones worth waiting for as they represent some of the best that 2013 will have to offer and they will very likely hold their own for the duration of a two year contract.

For others though, waiting for these phones might be out of the question. Perhaps its a money thing, a waiting thing, or something else entirely. And while we certainly recommend waiting now that the time for a release is close, those that need a phone right now aren’t without a plethora of  fantastic Android options. In fact, there are quite a few great Android phones on the market, so many, that making a decision might be difficult.

In an effort to help out those who need a phone sometime this month, we want to take a look at the devices we consider the best of the best when it comes to Android powered hardware.

January was rather silent in terms of Android smartphone releases and that means our list remains virtually unchanged from January to February. Still, these are the phones that shoppers will want to have at the top, or near the top of their shopping lists.

Here are the 5 best Android smartphones for February, 2013.

Nexus 4

The Nexus 4 is one of the best Android devices available to date as it combines high-end hardware with vanilla Android software and extremely low pricing for an unlocked smartphone.

Things just got better for the Nexus 4 as both the 8GB model and 16GB model both re-emerged in the Google Play Store. Currently, both are listed in stock.

Those looking for the T-Mobile version of the Nexus 4 should have no trouble finding that one either, however, users should be prepared to sign a contract.
