HTC M7 Release Date Pegged for March 8th, Again

The HTC M7, heavily rumored to be the company’s 2013 flagship, has surfaced in rumors again today and this time, it’s another possible indication that the M7 release date could be taking place on March 8th in Europe.

Rumors about the HTC M7 have been swirling since last year after the purported device emerged in a number of rumors alongside the Samsung Galaxy S4. Since then, the device has surfaced on a number of occasions including at least one official appearance on stage at an HTC party. So far, the device is shaping up to be one of the biggest announcements of 2013.

Already, we have seen a potential HTC M7 release date emerge in the form of March 8th. That date was mentioned by a reputable source as the likely launch date for the HTC M7 in Europe. Today, a piece of evidence has surfaced that seems to back that date up, though at this point, though it pegs the release date as March 8th, we remain a bit dubious.

What appears to be a screenshot of a flyer from retailer Phone House has emerged on FrAndroid today and it clearly states that the retailer is expecting the device to arrive on March 8th.

Problem is, the flyer also shows a render of the device that is thought to be fake and still possesses part of the watermarking that was attached to it when it leaked. It’s entirely possible that it’s just a placeholder, it’s also possible that the information that is contained here is a combination of all of the HTC M7 leaks of the past. And of course it’s also possible that it’s indeed entirely fake.

However, given that the retailer has attached a price and that retailers definitely could have inside information about a release date, it’s also plausible that this is real.

We should also point out that it lists a peculiar listing for the audio, dual Beats audio, which could be the audio feature that HTC was teasing the other day. However, we also see 13MP listed, though rumors suggest it will be a 4.3 Ultrapixel camera instead. It could be that HTC will market it as 13MP, it’s unclear.

HTC is planning a launch for February 19th in both New York and London and at this point, it’s pretty clear what the company intends to introduce to the public. And given the timing of the launch, March 8th doesn’t seem to be too far off in terms of when a release date could land. There is still no word on an exact release in the U.S. though it likely would come later.

The HTC M7 has been rumored for many weeks now with potential features and specifications surfacing. They include a 4.7-inch 1080p display, quad-core processor, 4.3 Ultrapixel camera, Android Jelly Bean and 4G LTE data speeds.
