It appears that HTC rather quietly has confirmed its upcoming HTC Sense 5.0 user interface for a number of current devices including the HTC One X, One X+, One S and the HTC Butterfly though the company only confirms the new software for the global variants and says that some features might be missing when the updates arrive.

Earlier this month, HTC not only debuted its latest high-end smartphone, the HTC One, but it also showcased its upcoming update to its HTC Sense skin, dubbed HTC Sense 5.0. HTC Sense 5.0 is a big departure from the previous versions of HTC Sense as it not only introduces a new look but also adds some big time features.

One of the biggest questions surrounding HTC Sense 5.0, at least for owners of current devices, was whether it would be coming to devices beyond the HTC One. And while the company seemed to remain quiet about the prospects at the show, it appears that its official Facebook account confirmed the good news to owners of several devices just a few days ago.

In a response to inquiring owners, HTC has seemingly confirmed Sense 5.0 for a number of current devices including the HTC One X, One X+, One S and the HTC Butterfly. However, the company is quick to note that the software is only confirmed for the global versions of the device. That means that carrier operated versions including the AT&T HTC One X and the T-Mobile One S remain up in the air.

HTC gives a time frame of the next few months, which lines up with what we’ve heard for at least one U.S. variant that is said to be getting the HTC Sense 5.0 update.

The Droid DNA, Verizon’s version of the HTC Butterfly, is rumored to be getting the HTC Sense 5.0 update at some point in the next few months though no date has been given and neither HTC nor Verizon has confirmed it.

HTC Sense 5.0 will make its official debut on the HTC One smartphone at some point in March, presumably March 15th which has been pegged to be its release date in the United Kingdom.
