Samsung Galaxy S4 Cases Show Boxier New Design

Published

A new set of Samsung Galaxy S4 cases are on display at CeBIT in Germany this week, which match up with the second set of Galaxy S4 cases we saw earlier this year.

The Galaxy S4 cases discovered by MobileGeeks look smaller and more realistically able to fit a Samsung Galaxy S4 than the obscenely large cases we purchased in February.

This batch of Samsung Galaxy S4 cases are made by MyLiving, a Chinese case manufacturer based in Shenzhen China, which told MobileGeeks that it received insider information on the dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy S4.

In the video below, MobileGeeks compares the Samsung Galaxy S4 cases to the Samsung Galaxy S3 cases and to a Samsung Galaxy S3.

As the video and the photographs show, the MyLiving Samsung Galaxy S4 cases are for a phone that may be slightly thicker than the Galaxy S3, though it is possible that the Samsung Galaxy S3 case is thinner because of case design. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is taller than the Galaxy S4 cases, which is an interesting find. These Galaxy S4 cases are definitely designed for a phone that is boxier in design than the Galaxy S3.

The hard case for the Samsung Galaxy S4 includes the familiar openings on the back of the case for a camera, flash and one speaker. The cases are noticeably wider than the Galaxy S3, likely to make room for the rumored 4.99-inch display. The Galaxy S4 hard case also shows a camera that is lower than on the Galaxy S3.

These cases may indeed show us what the design of the Galaxy S4 will look like, but it’s good to remember that case manufacturers are not always right. The first set of Galaxy S4 cases arrived on our doorstep last month and were large enough to fit the Galaxy Note 2 with a 5.5-inch display!

This set of Galaxy S4 cases matches up better with the second series of case, but it’s still not clear if this is based on what the real Galaxy S4 will look like.

Gotta Be Mobile shared what we think the Galaxy S4 will look like in our Samsung Galaxy S4 concept from earlier this week. We will know exactly what the next big thing looks like when Samsung launches the Galaxy S4 in New York on March 14th. Shoppers can expect a sneak peak of the Galaxy S4 in times Square soon after the official announcement.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is rumored with a 4.99-inch 1080P Full HD display and a quad-core processor. We also expect an improved 13MP camera and a host of new software features including Smart scroll, which detects eye and head movement to scroll in select apps.
