Samsung Galaxy S4 Accessory Up for Pre-Order, But It Will Cost

While the Samsung Galaxy S4 isn’t scheduled to be released until late May, that hasn’t stopped one retailer from putting the Galaxy S4’s first accessory up for pre-order as the Galaxy S4 GamePad, a controller for games, is now up for sale with a steep price.

Last week, Samsung unveiled its Samsung Galaxy S4, a smartphone that will be hitting shelves to replace the Samsung Galaxy S3 as the company’s flagship sometime in the month of April. Other regions, like Italy and India, are rumored to not be getting the device until sometime in the early goings of May. No release date has been confirmed.

However, ahead of those release dates, the Galaxy S4 now has an accessory on sale in the form of the GamePad accessory that we saw Samsung showcase in New York City last week.

Retailer MobileFun currently has the accessory up for pre-order well ahead of the Galaxy S4 release date though those who wish to buy from the retailer are going to encounter a steep price. The GamePad, which is an Xbox-like controlled for gaming, is up for pre-order though it’s up for pre-order with an expensive $113 price. That’s more expensive than an iPhone 4S and it’s only about $75 cheaper than an iPhone 5 and quite possibly, $75 cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy S4 itself.

We still don’t have official pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S4 but off-contract pricing, which looks to be $650, is a sign that Samsung will be keeping things in order for the Galaxy S4 which likely means a $199.99 price tag, same as the Galaxy S3. That of course isn’t confirmed, but if true, it means that the GamePad accessory is only a little bit cheaper than the actual phone.

Keep in mind, we could see the accessory arrive for cheaper when the actual phone arrives, Samsung has not given it official pricing, but at this point, those looking to enhance their gaming will have to shell out quite a bit of cold hard cash for the privilege of doing so.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is set to arrive next month and it will be coming with a 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core processor, 13MP camera, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and an assortment of Samsung-made software.

AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Verizon will all be launching the device though it’s unclear just when they might do so.

you uneducated idiot the controller is a lot cheaper then the phone geez off contract is $650 so more expensive so contract is only 75 more right……..wrong…….how much more do you spend on contract 40 – 60 more a month for two years or more so 40 times 24 for your two years is 960 $ more paid soooo 199 + 960 = 1159 and thats best case scenario so either way far more spent. ow and people stop with the contracts cause that 1159 is $509 more then 650 so thats 508 bucks you spent on a peice of paper you signed and got credit checked for and if you forget to pay will mess your credit up for 3 to 5 years depending on the scenario and remember thats best case scenario so wise up geez!!!!!
