The rumored Verizon HTC One, which has swirled around for many weeks now, may finally get announced in the near future as multiple clues have popped up indicating that an announcement may be on the horizon.

At launch, only AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile confirmed the HTC One, HTC’s latest smartphone, with the nation’s largest 4G LTE network, Verizon being left out of the equation. However, rumors soon surfaced indicating that Verizon would indeed be releasing a Verizon HTC One, possibly alongside the other carriers, possibly later, and now, it appears a Verizon HTC One launch is closer than ever.

According to noted leakster @evleaks, it looks like the Verizon HTC One is on the way. @evleaks confirms that Verizon will carry the device at some point in the future. Also of note is the fact that the Droid DNA has vanished from Verizon’s website, something first noticed by Droid-Life. The device is still seen through the droiddoes website but clicking through to buy it shows that the device has disappeared and is not available to buy.

While this is certainly not confirmation of a impending release, it seems like we’re now closer than we ever have been to a Verizon HTC One announcement and release.

The carrier hasn’t confirmed anything yet though and that means that a launch is still up in the air. However, the Droid DNA is a popular Android phone and Verizon wouldn’t just pull it down from its virtual shelves if something else weren’t close. Remember, we saw evidence that suggested that the HTC One would replace the Droid DNA as soon as March.

It’s unclear if Verizon’s version of the HTC One will be exactly like the HTC One that has already been announced. We imagine that Verizon may have dolled it up with some Droid or Verizon branding to differentiate it from other devices. It’s not clear.

What is clear though is that the Droid DNA is gone from Verizon’s website and may never return, giving way for Verizon’s version of the HTC One.

Other carriers in the U.S. aren’t thought to be getting the HTC One until late April, a possible reason why none of them have released specific release dates for HTC’s new flagship which will be coming to battle the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Good, hopefully Verizon does release this phone.
Because if they aren’t then I’m going to go to AT&T and use their services.
