Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 Design May Top Them All

We have yet to catch a glimpse of the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 in the wild but it appears that the device may boast the cleanest, best looking design of them all as Samsung’s press image seems to show a device without any carrier branding, something that is extremely rare for a high-end smartphone in the United States.

In years past, carriers like AT&T and Verizon, Verizon in particular, have attached prominent logos on their smartphones including their flagship devices. Last year’s Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on Verizon, for instance, had a Verizon logo plastered to the home button. Other carriers like AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile simply had their logo featured on the back.

The Sprint Galaxy S4 will evidently shun carrier branding.

So, it came as no surprise when the AT&T, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Verizon models appeared on Samsung’s website with carrier branding. Verizon’s model, at least at the moment, appears as though it will not come with the ugly Verizon logo on the home button, something that Galaxy Note 2 owners had to endure. Instead, it appears that Verizon may just keep its logo on the back.

Oddly enough, Sprint’s version of the Galaxy S4 comes without any sort of carrier branding at all, instead, opting for a more clean design that will appeal to the eye. So while Sprint’s Galaxy S4 will sport the same overall design, it may not sport the usual carrier logo blemish that users are accustomed to.

Many consumers are particular about their designs and have been clamoring for a lack of logos for years. And right now, it appears as though Sprint will cater to that crowd.

Of course, we have yet to see the phone itself emerge in the wilds which means that there is still a possibility that we could see the device arrive with carrier branding. However, from the looks of things, it’s possible that this could wind up being the real deal as Samsung’s product pages have been accurate with design details in the past.

Sprint, like Verizon, AT&T and U.S. Cellular, has yet to announce a release date for the Galaxy S4. T-Mobile remains the only carrier in the U.S. with a firm release date and will be releasing the device on May 1st for $99 down. AT&T will start shipping the Galaxy S4 on April 30th, but it’s unclear just when the release date might be.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is Samsung’s current flagship and it comes with a 5-inch display, quad-core processor, 13MP camera, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and the new TouchWiz features from Samsung.
