Verizon Galaxy S4 Release Date Confirmed for May
The elusive Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 release date has been confirmed for May though the carrier remains mum on an exact day for the flagship device’s arrival.
In a post on Twitter, Verizon has finally released some details about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4 and its release date. Most importantly, the carrier says that the device will be arriving at some point in May, the first time that Verizon has said anything about the device’s release date. The carrier does not elaborate on a specific date but thus far, rumors point to a release on May 30th, well after the Galaxy S4 arrives on other carriers in the U.S.
Also of note, is the image that the carrier has used. The image, the same one that we found on Samsung’s website, depicts a Galaxy S4 with only minimal branding and a home button that is void of a Verizon logo. This seems to all but confirm a rather bare looking Galaxy S4, a change from Verizon devices of the past.
This means that Verizon will evidently be waiting until a later date to show off the phone in the flesh and to deliver a specific release date. So far, the only date that has been mentioned is May 30th which arrived in a leaked document from retailer Staples. What we also still don’t know is how much Verizon is going to charge for the Galaxy S4.

Staples informed Gotta Be Mobile that it will charge $199.99 for the Verizon Galaxy S4, but it’s unclear if Verizon will opt to offer the Galaxy S4 at that price as well.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is set to arrive on Sprint on April 27th, T-Mobile on April 24th, and while AT&T and U.S. Cellular are offering up pre-orders, neither has given a specific release date for the Galaxy S4.
Samsung’s Galaxy S4 is the latest flagship from the Korean company and it features a 5-inch display with 1080p resolution, quad-core processor, 13MP camera and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
