The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, which was originally thought to be joining the larger Samsung Galaxy S4 sometime in either May or June of this year, is now thought to be coming during the month of July, or several months after the arrival of the Galaxy S4 which is set to touch down in regions across the globe in just a few days.

The star of the show since March has been the Samsung Galaxy S4, the 5-inch, 1080p flagship from Samsung which will be replacing the Galaxy S3 as the company’s premier smartphone. However, as we have learned the Galaxy S4 won’t be the only Galaxy S4 hitting shelves in the weeks to come. Samsung has confirmed the arrival of a smaller Galaxy S4 device, presumed to be called the Galaxy S4 Mini. And in the days since, we’ve seen a number of rumors crop up regarding the company’s smaller Galaxy S4.

One such rumor claimed that the device would be out in either May or June of this year, just a few weeks after the arrival of the larger Galaxy S4. However, a new claim from SamMobile states that the Galaxy S4 Mini has been “delayed” by Samsung and that it likely won’t be coming until a date between July 15th and July 21st.

It’s unclear if the Week 29 time frame pertains to the Samsung Galaxy S4 announcement date or the Galaxy S4 Mini release date. Typically, Samsung will announce a device and wait several days before releasing it to the public. It’s unclear if the company will do the same with the Galaxy S4 Mini. The cause of this supposed postponement is also unclear at this point.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is going to follow in the footsteps of the Galaxy S3 Mini which arrived several months after the larger Galaxy S3 and wound up hitting the United States under different brand names.

In addition to featuring a smaller design, the Galaxy S4 Mini is thought to have a 4.3-inch display with a 960 x 540 resolution, 8MP camera, Android 4.2.2 with TouchWiz Nature UX, and quite possibly, a quad-core processor, potentially of the Exynos variety.

I am waiting for this one, but delay can make me change my mind.

As long as they will make the price of the Galaxy S4 Mini small enough, it shouldn’t really matter. The problem is Samsung has usually priced these “mini” versions, too high compared to their specs.
